About The Event
The first annual Penn Dance Marathon will be executed by MUSE’s philanthropic arm, the Community Service Committee, in support of Givology. The fundraiser is expected to entail six hours of continuous dancing. Each hour will be themed and directed by a different dance team or club from the University of Pennsylvania. Each team will show the students a kind of dance, and the fun will begin, as the students imitate the dance and bring in moves of their own. There will be one competition per hour and students who win will be awarded with prizes.
Schedule to be posted.

The Cause
A nonprofit venture founded in spring 2008 by University of Pennsylvania students, Givology is an online giving marketplace that supports student scholarships and grassroots education initiatives in the developing world. Givology combines a mission to expand education access worldwide with an innovative, web-based person-to-person platform that directly and transparently connects donors with students and schools in need. Givology leverages the Internet to fund individual students and school projects, connecting individual donors who believe in the power of education and spreading awareness of the role of education in international development. Countries that have received funds for students and schools include China, Uganda, Rwanda, India, Kenya and Ecuador.
